20/21 season planning


Planning for the 20/21 season

Following our 19/20 season announcements yesterday, this announcement relates to planning for our 20/21 season.

The current COVID-19 related social distancing measures, which are in place to ensure everyones safety, means setting the start date of the league/cup campaigns remains impossible at this point.  We will, of course, continue to monitor Government / SFA / SAFA guidance and will keep our clubs informed when new information becomes available.

It remains the intention of the Executive Committee to conduct the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 11th June 2020.  This is most likely to be conducted via video conferencing, this will be confirmed nearer the date.

We are pleased to announce that the Executive Committee intends, once again, to fund the following next season:

- SAFA Affiliation fees

- National cup competition entry fees.  It is the intention, at this point, that this competition will be played during the 20/21 season.

- Regional cup competition entry fees.  It is the intention, at this point, that these competitions will be played during the 20/21 season.

- Public liability insurance

The cumulative cost of the above is c£5k.  

As previously announced, the Executive Committee has approved (as a one-off support to it's clubs) that the normal league fees payable in August be voided.  The impact of this initiative on the leagues bank balance will be £3k (the avoided revenue stream), which we are comfortable that the leagues finances can support.

We beleive our clubs will appreciate this continued support during these difficult times.

All of the above is subject to the normal financial budget approval requirement from member clubs during our AGM.
